Where do Christian missionaries come from?

“Of 400,000 global missionaries that were sent to foreign countries in 2010, Brazil sent 34,000, second behind the United States, which sent 127,000.”  These statistics only apply to sending missionaries to second countries:  India perhaps has the largest number of cross-cultural church-planters (e.g. missionaries) within its own borders, going primarily from the southern states to the northern ones.
