Business as Mission: A Challenging Rediscovery | The Lausanne Global Conversation

This month’s Lausanne Connection is focusing on BAM–Business As Mission.  I have wondered previously whether emigration was in fact a bigger contributor to the spread of the Gospel world-wide than intentional missionals.  After all, the Apostles did not leave Jerusalem as commanded by Jesus at the Ascension until after the first persecutions pushed them out of the city to find a safer place to live.  BAM takes the “accidents” of missions and articulates them as “principles” for intentional missions.  This article, which is only the lead article, already has me asking questions about my own consistency or lack thereof in thinking, teaching and preaching.  What do you think?
