The Misrepresented Crisis…

The first line of a  book, a play or even a blog shapes how we read everything else.  How the media casts a news event likewise determines which filters we use to read or to toss aside a news item.  Simon Guillebaud helps the average reader to dig in and see the violence in the Central African Republic (CAR) through the lens of Libya and the repercussions following the Arab Spring.

The Misrepresented Crisis….

This is important reading for all parties.  Religion is an important part of the story, yes, but a bigger picture of Africa is even more important.  The violence here is the latest domino of one group trying to gain power and advantage of others, Muslim and Christian.  Let’s pray then for both Christians and Muslims that God would bring justice and peace to this nation.
